Hiland SEO is built around one job: turning the topics your customers search for into articles on your website. Here is what each step looks like, and where your own judgement still matters.

1. Start with what you offer

You add your website and a short description of what your business does. If you use Google Search Console, you can connect it too. That lets Hiland work from the searches your site already appears for, instead of starting from a blank page.

If Google doesn’t know your site well yet, the description is enough to begin. Hiland uses it to search for topics around what you sell.

2. Choose what to write

The Opportunities screen lists article ideas grouped into themes. Each one shows roughly how many people search for it each month, how hard it is likely to be to rank for, and what those searchers seem to want. Each idea also comes with the reason it was suggested.

This is the step worth slowing down on. A smaller keyword your ideal customer actually searches for is often worth more than a big one that brings the wrong visitors.

3. Draft, then edit

Pick an idea and Hiland researches and drafts the article in its editor. Treat the draft as a strong first version:

  • Check facts, prices and anything specific to your business.
  • Add your own examples and opinions. They are what make an article worth reading.
  • Make sure the tone sounds like you.

4. Publish and keep track

When an article is ready, publish it to WordPress or Shopify, either one at a time or on a schedule you set. The My Content screen keeps every article in one list, with its status and what it needs next, so drafts don’t get forgotten.

Where people still matter

Software can take care of the research, the first draft and the publishing. It can’t know your customers the way you do. The best results come from letting the tool handle the routine steps while you spend your time on the parts only you can do: choosing the right topics and adding real experience.
